Bridges Ventures would like to express our profound sadness at the death of Nigel Doughty at the weekend. Nigel was one of the original backers of Bridges Ventures.  His firm, Doughty Hanson and his family charitable trust have been enormously supportive of our work throughout Bridges Ventures’ development and we had the privilege of having Nigel as a board member for most of our ten years to date.

Nigel’s support for our social and environmental goals was a reflection of his wider desire to improve the world. He was a hugely generous and inspiring person and we are very grateful for his support over the years.

Our thoughts are with his wife and family.  He will be greatly missed.
