Bridges Ventures (‘Bridges’), the sustainable growth investor, today announced the appointment of two Associates to join the firm’s Sustainable Growth Funds team. Pam Wei Liu and David Cockcroft join from Citigroup and JP Morgan respectively.

Pam was previously an associate in Citigroup’s investment bank, where she worked in the firm’s European Power and Utilities M&A business. Prior to this she worked for the company’s Citi Venture Capital International, screening investment proposals and analysing investment opportunities. She is a graduate of Keble College, Oxford.

David joins from JP Morgan, where he most recently worked in the bank’s Financial Sponsors Group. While at the bank, David worked on a number of leveraged buyouts, refinancing and public-to-private deals, and also has experience in the group’s restructuring and special situations divisions. David is a graduate of Trinity College, Dublin.

Founded in 2002, Bridges is dedicated exclusively to using an impact-driven investment approach to create superior returns for both investors and society at-large.  Pam and David will join the team behind the Bridges Sustainable Growth Funds, responsible for identifying new investment opportunities.

The Bridges Sustainable Growth Funds (I, II & III) invest in growth business across four impact themes: Underserved Areas, Education & Skills, Environment, and Health & Wellbeing.  Fund III was launched late last year with a first close on equity commitments of £72m, a sum almost equal to the final close of Fund II.

Philip Newborough, Managing Partner and Co-Founder at Bridges Ventures, said: “This is a milestone year for Bridges Ventures and our Sustainable Growth Funds, with the celebration of our 10th anniversary and the completion of very successful exits such as The Hoxton Hotel. We are delighted to have David and Pam joining our team as we begin to invest Fund III.”
