Bridges Ventures (‘Bridges’), the sustainable and impact investment specialist, today announced the appointment of a new Investment Manager, James Hurrell, to join the firm’s Sustainable Growth Funds team. James joins Bridges at an important time for the firm where the third Sustainable Growth Fund, which successfully closed earlier this year at £125m, is expanding its portfolio.

James joins from ISIS Equity Partners where he was an Associate Director. There he was responsible for making new investments as well as portfolio work with existing investments. He maintained a particular focus on healthcare and education, with completed deals including Create Health (provider of fertility services) and YSC (firm of business psychologists). Prior to ISIS, James was an Associate with DC Advisory where he worked in the Leisure & Retail sector team in London after helping to set up a new M&A office in Manchester. James has a degree in Geography from Oxford University and is a trustee at the National Orchestra for All.
