We are delighted to report that Babington Group (a Bridges Sustainable Growth Fund II portfolio company) won the ‘Further or Vocational Education Provider of the Year’ category at the 2015 EducationInvestor Awards last night.
Babington delivers high-quality training and apprenticeships that help people achieve their career goals across a number of sectors, including Accountancy, Business Administration, Financial Services and Health and Social Care. Bridges invested in the business in 2009 in line with two of our key impact themes: reducing the skills gap, and tackling youth unemployment in the UK, particularly in underserved markets.
The award recognises a number of key achievements by Babington in the last year, including the bolt-on acquisition of a leadership and training provider, the creation of a new division to help the unemployed back into sustainable employment, and the development of a new Advice & Guidance team to coordinate its learner engagement activity.
Congratulations to chairman Frank Lord, CEO Carole Carson and all the Babington team!
