Partner, Private EquitySimon is a partner in the Sustainable Growth Funds. Based in Manchester, he is responsible for originating and leading Bridges’ investments across the North of England.
Simon is a highly-experienced private equity investor and non-executive director who has worked across a wide variety of sectors, including TMT, healthcare, leisure, support services, consumer goods and industrial products.
Most recently he was an Investment Director for regional private equity firm LDC. Based in the Manchester office, he spent eight years investing in businesses across the North. Notable transactions include Humberside based IT services business Giacom, Cheshire based medical consultancy business Fishawack, and Cumbrian based holiday cottage business Lakelovers.
Simon graduated from UCL before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in Manchester. He joined JP Morgan Cazenove’s Equity Capital Markets team in 2004, covering the small/mid-cap space, before moving onto Bank of Scotland where he provided acquisition finance to support private equity transactions. Prior to joining LDC, Simon was a Director in Lloyd’s Banking Group’s restructuring team, leading the restructure/workout of a portfolio of private equity assets.
